Choosing numbers is an old gesture. Long before there were draws, lots were already being cast — with stones, with beans, with small tablets: you let chance speak where reason ran out. The lucky numbers oracle is today's version of that gesture: a drum that turns, and balls that fall one at a time.

Tell it how many numbers you want and how high they go: six from 1 to 49, five from 1 to 90, whatever your draw asks for. If yours also calls for separate numbers — a star, a bonus ball — ask for them on the second line and they will come out afterwards, in their own colour. And if what you need is the number on a whole ticket, ask for five digits: the reels stop one by one until it is complete.

You can draw them two ways. At random — the browser's real randomness, different every time. Or from your name and your date of birth: then the numbers stay put all day, they are yours for today, and they will be the same if you come back this evening. Tomorrow they will be others.

Let it be said plainly, because it should be: no oracle can guess a draw. These numbers come from chance and are worth exactly what a hunch is worth — something to play with, a way to break the habit of always marking the same ones, a chance to let something other than you decide. Play sensibly, and only with what you can spare.
